2022 Curly Leaf Pondweed Pull

The dates have been set for PONDWEED PULL 2022. May 31st through June 10th is the time frame set to continue our task of containing Curly Leaf Pondweed(CLP) and preventing it’s spread down the Turtle River Watershed and into the Turtle Flambeau Flowage(TFF). It’s already in Pike lake. Lake of the Falls, Trude Lake and the TFF are threatened. This is an “All Hands On Deck” appeal for help. We are asking for volunteers for any or all of the days set aside this year. If you love the northwoods environment you live in and want to preserve it then please get involved at any level. Besides actual weed pullers we also need boats/motors donated for the ten day event. We also plan to provide lunch for our workers so you could provide one or more days of food or snacks.
